Happy Birthday Jodi!

Hey everyone! Today we are celebrating Jodi Collin's Birthday!  Jodi is an amazing artist and I am thrilled to be on the There She Goes design team with her. Karen Motz is hosting this wonderful birthday blog hop to help Jodi celebrate! If you've come from Piali's blog, you're in the right place.

Since Jodi is a "Christmas baby", I thought I'd stay away from Red and Green and opted for the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness Mini Deck. I finally got to ink up my "Don't Open Till" Pure Innocence Stamp from MFT! I colored her in with my Copics and paper-pieced the present.  There are actually 4 layers to her, including fussy cutting the bow on the package, but Jodi, you deserve it. Happy Birthday girl!!
Thanks everyone for stopping by. Next up is very talented Natalie.I've included the list of participants in case you've lost your way or want to hop along to see all the beautiful creations.

TSG Trendsetter post.....

Hi everyone! I can't tell you how happy I was a few moments ago. I woke up from a nap to find ME as the trendsetter today over at There She Goes.  Jessica and Holly surprised me a BUNCH!! PLEASE go over and ready the incredibly moving post Holly wrote.  I can't describe to y'all the love and joy I felt knowing that I have such a wonderful support system.

Riley left today and is somewhere in the Middle East.  I won't speak to him again till Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but I know that God will protect him and bring him home to me next year.  I have such great faith in his abilities, and great pride in his mission.  He is a wonderful man and I am just so grateful to God for bringing him into my life.

Enough of that mushy stuff!! I'll be back tomorrow with regular postings again.  I've got lots of artwork stored up in my fingers just itching to get out and my mojo is back so get ready for a fabulous week of gorgeous creations! :-D

Ri's Deploying to Iraq....*sniff*

Hey everyone! I feel like the world's worst blogger. Ri's deploying next week, BEFORE Christmas, till sometime next summer. I'm sad...noooo, that's an understatement....I'm crying every day and beside myself.  So, no mojo. none. nada. zero. Well, I've got some I'm sure if I dig for it.  But that's only for a couple of DT applications.

PLEASE, be patient with me y'all.  I'll be back Christmas week with a regular blogging schedule, but till then, it might be sporadic.

.

TSG84 Bring on the Bling

Edited to add: I was honored by The Shabby Tea Room to be in their top 3 with this card! LOVE that challenge!!
Hey everyone! Just a quick post for Jodi's Bring on the Bling Challenge over on the There She Goes blog.
OK, so I'm a little late to the Monday challenge, but I'm fashionably late, right?!
I used two great building sets from There She Goes.  Home Sweet Home and Home Sweet Home Additions.  I used the Spica Clear Glitter Pen to add some shine to the fire, milk and cookies.  The Christmas tree is a die from PTI that I embossed with the PTI Holly Impression Plate (can't see it in the pic).  I then cut it in half using the right part on the front and the left side on the inside. This qualifies this card for the Little Red Wagon Challenge#58. :-D .

I'm lovin' the vintage feel even though I don't have ANY buttons or ribbon. I was very inspired by the photo inspiration at Simple Doodles #32 and Debbie's project at The Shabby Tea Room #39 this week. It's gorgeous! Anywho, here's the inside.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that has bling and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 13). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Got Toys?

Hey everyone! I love this new stamp image from Penguin Pals by Di Carubia for There She Goes Clear Stamps.  It is whimsical and adorable all rolled up in one!

I used DP from Crate Paper that is so whimsical.  I just love it, even though it's really not my style, but I thought it would be perfect for this little guy.  I used all 4 different Copic tones of grey on the image to give depth and change. I know that most people only have the cool and warm greys, but I really find that I use all 4 tones.
I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC94.
I'm addicted to bitty sparkles right now and had to add them as snow flakes.  Yeah, it's leaning a little towards the gawdy side, but hey, it's for a tweeny girl. :-D

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate every visit and every comment.   I really, really do!! Have a great day and I'll have some gorgeous ornaments for you to oogle at tomorrow. :-D

Card Recipe:
Paper: Crate Paper Snow Day {Flakes, Candy}, PTI Kraft, Stampers Select CS

Holiday Wreath

I'm so excited about all the new There She Goes releases from Saturday.  We had a blast at the release party. Now that everyone's in full holiday card-making mode, it seems like the perfect time to share some creations using the new sets.

Here is beautiful wreath designed by Chris Dark in the new set Seasons Greetings.  I just love EVERY image in it!
I broke out some Webster's Pages DP and colored my wreath with Copics. This cardstock is not the best so I had a little bit of bleeding, but the card turned out pretty all the same.  So here's the inside using a sentiment and the smaller wreath from the set...I messed up a bit on the placement, but hey, looks truly hand-made that way doesn't it?!
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Papercutz Challenge#69-Anything Goes
Creative Belli Challenge#105-R Embellies
Sew Many Cards Challenges #34 - Red and Green
Simple Doodles Challenge #31 - Cute As A Button
I Did It Creations Challenge #31- Surprise Me
Stampin' B's Design Team Challenge #86-Holiday Card

Have a great day y'all and come back tomorrow for some more eye candy! Am I at 100 subscribers yet?? Hmm...wonder what kinda blog candy I'll be offering?! Hee hee

Thanks for the Lift

I am running a bit late tonight...Riley has to pack to send his things to Iraq and I am staying by his side when he's home.  I am already teary eyed most days just knowing that his deployment will soon be here.  So here are a couple cards that I made for friends....
a thank you for supporting my blubbering about Ri's departure for a great pal...
and a thank you for Riley's SIL (and Brother)
for hosting us when our power was out 4 days last week.  It was so nice to know that we had somewhere safe, warm and dry to stay (even if they don't have internet) BAWHahahahahaaha!

Well back to the top-secret crafting of the last couple days tomorrow.  I will have new stuff to share on Wednesday using last weekend's new TSG release sets!!

Have a crafty day! :-D Corinna

TSG83 Cards 4 Kids

This can be anything from birthday cards to something to slip into their lunchbox before they head off to school. Use your imagination and have fun!
Here is a birthday card using the newly released set Wrapped In Joy. I love this set!!!  I used Basic Grey's Sugar Rush paper, PTI ribbon, Z1148 Pretty Pins and Z1263 Bitty Sparkles from CTMH.
and here's the inside.  I sponged Cantaloupe Memento Ink around the inside of my oval Spellbinders die.

Have a great day and I'll see everyone tomorrow!

No more black out!

Hi everyone! Just a quick note to say that we got our power back late last night! Western Washington had a record breaking storm last Monday that left us without power for a few days.
The first day had 300,000 without power, then 150,000, then 33,000.  And last night, we were one of the last homes to get power restored.

Here's the video that was played on the news for 2 days straight.  They're not used to snow I don't think.

Thanks to D and Vickie, Riley's brother and SIL, to let the four of us crash at their house until our power and heat were restored.

Unfortunately, they don't have internet service and we were pretty stranded, so I wasn't able to participate in this month's There She Goes Blog Hops with artwork.  Jessica Knutsen, owner extraordinaire of TSG posted for me this week. So THANKS Jessica for all your help too!!

I promise I'll post lots of great artwork using the new sets from TSG this next week! :-D
