A Template Tutorial Fun and Cute the Moxie Fab way!!

OK, so here's another Moxie Fab Challenge entry for the FUN and CUTE style.  I made this cute Treat Pouch and two cards for this challenge.

I had soooo much fun seeing how many looks I could get from these two stamps sets from CTMH, B1346 Ticket to Ride and C1425 Thrill Ride.  They are fun and "Disney"ish! So if you look closely, the sign stamp really looks like the one on the card.  To change out the label to say "treats" I just masked it....here's how.

Use a Post It Note and cut the shape you want masked from it.  With clear stamps this is super easy.

Then peel up your Post-It mask and Voila!

For the treat pouch, I printed the free template from Waltzingmouse directly to some PTI cardstock and CTMH Zippidee paper.  I then trimmed 1/8 inch from the bottom of the second template cut from the Zippidee paper and stitched it to the pouch.  

I random stamped the third template printed on CMTH colonial white and adhered to the inside to hide those unsightly stitches.

Embellished with PTI buttons, twine and the tickets made from the CTMH ticket stamp on paper die cut from PTI's ticket die. It fits PERFECTLY and looks MOXIE FAB!

Card Style Clean and Graphic Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Oh my....who woulda thunk making an unlayered Clean and Simple card would be so hard... ARGH! But, I managed to pull it off and thanks to my Copics, I think they turned out pretty SA-WEET!  Wanna play too? Go to the Moxie Fab World for lots of great inspiration and fun!

With Sympathy...

Hey everyone.  Funerals.  They are so difficult.  And making Sympathy cards is not something that sparks the creative juices.  This has been a tough week with the passing of my Fiancee's grandfather.  Today was the funeral and here are some cards I made for his family. 

This is a stamp set from Waltzingmouse. The inside reads "Into every garden a little rain must fall."

3 Copic Tutorials and a Copic/CTMH Color Comparison Chart

Well hey everyone!! Hope all is well.  I have had a whirlwind 5 days away from home with my family.  It was great fun, but I'm really glad to be back at home. I missed my ink and stamps...lol.

I've posted a chart with the CTMH/Copic Color Comparison.  I will add the 8 new CTMH colors as soon as I get them in August.

I have had a number of requests for additional classes, so I will begin teaching each week in my studio AND online beginning the 1st week of September.  August is already super busy for our family and I'm sure yours... :-D  Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow with so new creations and a new coffee flavor too!

Half Full or Half Empty?

Good Mornin' Everyone!! I've had a bout of insomnia the past few days, so I decided to craft instead of watching another infomercial....hahahaha.  I LOVE There She Goes Clear Stamps! Have I told ya that before? hee hee (ok, so I'm a lil' giddy from the sleep deprivation)

I had to make a card using the new A Drink A Day Stamp Set.  I used this week's sketch from Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) and the There She Goes Blog.
 

I colored the images with Copics and added Spica dots to add some texture to her dress.  

 

Instead of using embellies, I cut out the fruit wedges and slice and colored to coordinate. 

The sentiment is fab....like all of Jessica's sentiments: 

Whether you think your glass is half empty or half full - It's time to ask for a refill. :-D

My Cup Runneth Over.....!

Well hey y'all!! Hopin' this blog post finds your relaxed and enjoying the weekend.  I am visiting Riley over in the desert area of WA state.  And let me tell you, I have just NEVER, not even in NC, seen a state so diverse in it's climate.  WA sports the country's ONLY rainforest, (Twilight Fan's: think Forks....hee hee), the beautiful Puget Sound and Seattle area, 2 mountain ranges including Mt. Ranier, a desert (where I am now).  And I've already seen them all!! WOO HOO

OK, enough of that...you stopped by for some artwork so here goes.  I made this little card for a friend of mine that has been short changed a bunch this week.

She is a GREAT person and truly a blessing in my life.  I used Card Pattern's  sketch 71 

I love this stamp set with matchind die from PTI....and look at that little teabag tag!

The beautiful detailed stamps are just gorgeous like the little tea circle I stamped second generation in CTMH Desert Sand ink.  Then, stamped the For You in Tulip.  I popped up the red cup and tea bag tag.  Then added PTI buttons tied with CTMH hemp.

Here is the finished card.  My heart is just a flutter!  Hopefully, she'll like it.  :-D  Have a great day everyone....and try to stay cool....hee hee

Lemonade....Just for You

Hey Everyone! It is HOT here in WA, so I thought I'd make a thank you card with a "summery" lemonade image from PTI's stamp set called Friendship Jar.  

I'm using the MOJO Monday #146 sketch, along with Color Throwdown's 100th Challenge! Congrats on your 100th Throwdown!!! And of course Pile It On....which is using "my favorite thing" this week.  Well, my favorite thing right now is Copics! I just LOVE 'em.

Here is a little Copic Tip, especially for the wonderful consultants that are taking my VC class today, you can make your own plaid with the Colorless Blender Pen.  Just fill in you image solid first, then run the CBP diagonally in each direction.  Go slowly, so the blender solution can PUSH the color to the back of of the cardstock.

Another Copic Tip: You can use Liquid Glass OVER your color without it bleeding, unlike water based dye inks (like CTMH and SU).  See how I put the LG over my "lemonade". It'd work for "margarita's" or good 'ol sweet tea too. hee hee

Happy {belated} 4th of July!

Wow, how time flies! I have been spending time with my fiancee and his children and family for the past 3 weeks so we've been super duper busy!  Here is the card I made for Riley celebrating our first 4th of July in WA. 

I used some of my favorite CTMH stamp sets, July Word Puzzle(retired) for the sentiment; D1320 Shining Star for the 2 large stars that are matted; D1333 Wishing Star and D1237 Starstruck to make my own background paper.

 This fab woodgrain paper is from the CTMH X7110B Back Country paper pack.  I love this paper, especially living in the PNW now.  The ribbon is from May Arts and the buttons/twine are PTI.

Here you can see the matting and background paper I stamped a bit better.  Cardstock is PTI Rustic White, Kraft and CTMH Outdoor Denim, Tulip.

I am just LOVIN' this card. :-D 

The fireworks Riley and Dylan lit off were just beautiful (the neighbors display was maybe a bit long...haha) and we had a lovely time. Now back to the grind... :-D
