Intro to Copics Course

 Hey there! Sorry for the absence the past few days.  The moving van arrived from NY and it is a DISASTER in here!  lol  We have friends showing up tonight to help us move a few pieces of furniture and then I can finish putting things away.  The nice thing is...I haven't seen my things in 6 months so it's like getting lots of new things all over again. hee hee

Intro to Copics Course

TSG Autumn Mosaic Blog Hop Challenge (And the Changing Of The Seasons Sale)

One of my favorite things about stamping is to combine different stamps and different stamp  sets to create unique settings and scenes. Chris’s beautiful illustrations are perfect for this technique and I’m happy to say that she has done it again with this new set called Autumn Mosaic.

This wonderful fall themed stamp set includes many different images that can be combined to create a scene or wonderful to use as a solitary focal point.  

Autumn Mosaic is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 21 stamps and will sell for $18.

I immediately thought of how gorgeous these sketched stamps would look on a set of masculine cards.  We all seem to have a time with those don't we! So I printed the images on PTI Rustic Cream cardstock. Looks so masculine!

Happy 92nd Birthday Nanny!

Just a quick post 'cuz I'm off to a crop at our LSS.  Here's a birthday card that I made for my grandma's 92nd birthday.

I used the Make A Wish set from There She Goes Clear Stamps Store.  

 I random stamped the itty bitty candles and colored them with Atyou Spica pens. Then I masked all the images to make the focal point image. 

I colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas. It was a bit tedious but turned out cute.  

 I used a PTI dies for the focal image and ricrac, and fussy cut the Happy Bday banner. 

The Sketch is from this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges C4C55.  

I used the The cardstock colors are CTMH's new Pacifica and Lagoon...all of Nanny's favorite colors.

Here is the inside. Nanny is a HOOT! I hope and pray that I am half as witty and wonderful as she is when I am her age. :-D Have a great weekend and I'll see ya Monday!

Sentimentally Yours

Well Hey Y’all. I’m sippin’ a German Chocolate Cake skinny latte with whipped cream and caramel! DE-LISH!! I know, I know, y’all just wanna see the eye candy! OK, here’s a peak. Today begins with a challenge that I’m sponsoring over on the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog this week!!

I used a beautiful new stamp set from Close to My Heart D1440 “Everlasting Life” as my focal point sentiment. The papers are from the new paper kit “Magnifique”. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

And here’s my finished card….

Hope y’all had a wonderful weekend. I DID! Riley and I haven’t had much time together these past couple of months so we spent the entire weekend together. Saturday we spent driving and sightseeing the Schnook Pass from Gig Harbor to Yakima and back. Sunday was an entire day of sleeping, eating, watching DVR’d shows, wrestling and goofing around. We both really needed the down time to recharge from so much travel.

You’re never too old…

…to dream are you? I'm a dreamer for sure. I've always believed that I could do anything. When I was in 2nd grade I was sure I'd be President some day. In college, I knew I'd own an international company. And now, I have a new goal, a new dream of every crafter owning a ribbon carousel.

So imagine my surprise when There She Goes came out with a new stamp set with a PERFECT sentiment for me! 

First, I cut the stamp apart. I know, tragic, but necessary. It doesn’t hurt them, I promise. See!! They just go right back together when you’re finished.

I random stamped the largest flower with versamark, cut out and colored two flowers to surround the sentiment. (I used a past Clean and Simple sketch). I colored with copics and finished off the inside with a couple of the flowers as well.

And here is the finished card. Sweet, simple and perfect for a little note of encouragement.

Coming Home

Hey everyone! I just returned home from NY where I had a wonderful time visiting family and friends. The camp is now sold and all of my belongings are on a truck headed for the PNW!

I don't have any new creations of my own to share, but wanted to let you all know that the new catalog for CTMH is out and the papers and new stamps are incredibly beautiful. I will be posting some gorgeous creations in the coming weeks. Here are my favorite papers and stamps from the new catalog....it's called Magnifique!

First Day of School, First Day of School!

Remember when Nemo says that at the beginning of the movie? Oh, I just LOVE that flick! Speaking of LOVE, I LOVE this new stamp set called Believe In You from There She Goes Clear Stamps!This week is the first week of school for my Aunt Sheila, so to celebrate, I combined a few challenges and voila......

 I used the sketch (by Mercy) for Flutterby Wednesday's #120 Birthday Challenge , The Pink Elephant's "Back to School" Challenge TPE83, W plus 9's Color Cue {7} Challenge and Pile It On's "Pile On the Layers" Challenge! :-D

I die cut the white cardstock and cork with PTI's Notebook die.  Then stamped the girl masking off the line she is normally drawing, then masked her to add the chalkboard.  Her dress is paper pieced with PTI Pure Poppy Bitty Dot Paper.  I used my copics to finish coloring.

 Look at this lil' chalkboard! Isn't it the cutest!!

The inside was finished off with a sentiment and the whole chalkboard from the Believe In You stamp set.  

 And here's the finished card.....

Well, I'm off like a dirty shirt (another movie quote, this one's from "Pretty in Pink").  Happy Crafting everyone! :-D

Christmas in September?

OK, so I'm jumpin' the gun a bit on the Christmas thing, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Here are some of the cards that we'll be making at the Dec.4 Christmas Workshop that I promised I'd post. A few of them I can't post quite yet, but will add them in later posts this month and next.

Now, if you'd prefer to make them Holiday cards, instead of Christmas cards, I do have plenty of substitution sentiments and we do have a few that say Happy Holidays too.

We'll be rotating from table to table, making two of each card as we go while we wait for the paper to settle on our boxes. There She Goes Clear Stamps is turning 2!!

It may be TSG's birthday but There She Goes Clear Stamps want to give all of the presents to you! All MONTH (that's right I said MONTH!!) long we will be celebrating with one of the best birthday parties around!! There will be lots of giveaways, games, challenges, etc. and I hope that you will join us in all of the fun.

Party Games: A party just wouldn't be complete without some fun games thrown into the mix. Every Friday during the Friday Night Chat, a new game will be announced. Players will have one week to complete each game where the goal is to collect different info about everything TSG. At the end of the week one lucky player will win any $15 stamp set available on the TSG Website! FYI- all of the game info will also be posted on the TSG Blog Saturday mornings along with our weekly Stampbook Saturday post.

But wait- there's more!! How would you like a $50 gift certificate to spend in the TSG Store? All you need to do is play along each week in the challenges in games. TWO winners will be announced during the Release Party Chat at the end of the month- one for the challenges and one for the party games. Well that's it for now.....I'm at my son's apartment at college. YUP, I went out and bought Pine-Sol and laundry detergent. Stopped at the bank for a roll of quarters to do his 12 loads of laundry. I'll be busy for a few hours anyways. :-D

I'm a jr. TRENDSETTER!

Jessica Knutsen, the most brilliant designer and owner of There She Goes Clear Stamps, asked me to be on her design team!! WOO HOO!! I am so honored and excited; well I'm just over the moon about the whole thing! The announcement is being made today over on the TSG Blog.

So here is my first "DT" card! I used one of my favorite sets called Puppy Love. Look at these little puppies!!

I did a little masking and colored with my Copics. I'm really loving the blender pen more and more every day! Then, because I was so excited....I added a bit of Spica pen glitter on the hearts, butterflies and clouds. It looks so great in person, but is so difficult to photograph.

The talent and other fab women on her team are really going to push me to do my best work ever. Thanks Jessica and I can't wait to work with you and your team! I'm also sending out a big wave to Angela (jellybean74)! She is on of the new jr. Trendsetters too and I am beyond thrilled!

P.S. (I'm writing this blog post in the Chicago Airport, so I can't add the fancy watermark Jessica sent to me yesterday. I will add it when I get to my destination and get a few hours of sleep. I'll also be adding a sidebar of all the other wonderful Trendsetters! I have learned my lesson.....do NOT travel on the day your joining a design team!! hee hee)
