TSG83 Cards 4 Kids

This week's challenge is brought to us by our wonderful Trendie, Christine! She has challenged us to create a card for a child/kidlet/young person etc :). This can be anything from birthday cards to something to slip into their lunchbox before they head off to school. Use your imagination and have fun!
Here is a birthday card using the newly released set Wrapped In Joy. I love this set!!!  I used Basic Grey's Sugar Rush paper, PTI ribbon, Z1148 Pretty Pins and Z1263 Bitty Sparkles from CTMH.
and here's the inside.  I sponged Cantaloupe Memento Ink around the inside of my oval Spellbinders die.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card for a child then go to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 6). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG83 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Have a great day and I'll see everyone tomorrow!

No more black out!

Hi everyone! Just a quick note to say that we got our power back late last night! Western Washington had a record breaking storm last Monday that left us without power for a few days.
The first day had 300,000 without power, then 150,000, then 33,000.  And last night, we were one of the last homes to get power restored.

Here's the video that was played on the news for 2 days straight.  They're not used to snow I don't think.

Thanks to D and Vickie, Riley's brother and SIL, to let the four of us crash at their house until our power and heat were restored.

Unfortunately, they don't have internet service and we were pretty stranded, so I wasn't able to participate in this month's There She Goes Blog Hops with artwork.  Jessica Knutsen, owner extraordinaire of TSG posted for me this week. So THANKS Jessica for all your help too!!

I promise I'll post lots of great artwork using the new sets from TSG this next week! :-D

TSG81 Sketch By Holly!

Hey everyone! Our power went out for a bit last night as the Seattle area had it's first winter storm.  WOWZER!! It was pretty powerful....the winds ripped apart a tree that took off part of the house with it's fall.  So... I crafted while waiting on insurance agents and roofers today.

Holly McMillen is our Trendsetter of the Week and made a great sketch for this week's TSG81 challenge.

Here's a little inspiration for you...

From Our Waddle to Yours....

Happy Sunday Y'all!  Quick post today since this is my last weekend alone with Riley before he leaves for deployment for Iraq.

Just wanted to squeeze this in for Angela's Build A Scene Challenge TSG80 and Mercy's sketch challenge (MTSC99).

I love this stamp set from There She Goes called Penguin Love but I've had a huge Mojo block and trashed 5 different scenes.  Must be the pressure to perform well for my bloggin' buds Angela and Mercy.....lol!

 And here's the inside:
"Happy Holidays from our waddle to yours!"
bwahahahahahaha *snort*

I love this paper Mitten Weather from Cosmo Cricket! It's so homey feeling to me...reminds me of Adirondack winters.  (Now I get to enjoy the Seattle rain.  lol) Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :-D

Moxie Fab Happy Blogiversary Cath!!

This weekend marks the 2nd Blogiversary for the Moxie Fab World!.  Although I do not know Cath personally, I feel like I know her in a Moxie-Fab "Sista" kinda way!

As a matter of fact, she was my driving inspiration into becoming a crafter, unbeknown to her. When I was pacing the floors, after selling my toy company, I needed SOMETHING to do.  And with the help of Cath and the the Paper Craft Magazine gals, I learned all about crafting with paper.
Cath is actually thanking US, her loyal readers, by having the BIGGEST blog candy give-away I've ever seen!!

WOWZERS!! All you have to do is comment on her post here for a chance to win! Having Cath as part of my everyday, Moxie Fab world is definitely something to be grateful for...so

Thanks Cath!
