TSG Forever Blog Hop Challenge

Hey everyone! Welcome to day 2 of TSG's sneak peek week.  Did you arrive from Christine's beautiful blog? If not, you may want to hop on over to the TSG blog to begin the hop.
This new set from Torico showcases her flawless and realistic illustration of these hearty flowers and is paired with several sentiments that coordinate with the image. This set is a must-have for any flower lover!
Forever is a 3x4 stamp set that includes a total of 5 of stamps and will sell for $7.
I made a pretty vintage card using Torico's newest stamp set.  I thought the flowers were pretty highlighted with the vintage tones this time. I colored them with 4 layers to get a good amount of depth (inspired by our very own Kim Teasdale.) :D I might have over done it with the multi-strand Vintage Seam Binding in Old Olive, Violet and Festive Fushia. But the card came together pretty easily.  Maybe I'm getting the hang of this Shabby Chic/Vintage style. :D

Would you like a chance to win the Forever stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Forever Blog Hop Challenge post. Happy Birthday Jessica!

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!  Tomorrow is my dear friend Jessica Knutsen's birthday!!   Many of you know Jessica as the Fearless Leader and Trendiest of the There She Goes Trendsetters. A bunch of her friends and fans have decided to give her a surprise Birthday Blog Hop today!  Hopefully, you've come from Ann's blog, if not, you can start over on the There She Goes Blog.

So lets get to her birthday card, shall we!
I used Jessica's favorite Spellbinder's Die to make the card base. (The die will actually cut through 2 layers of PTI cardstock, but you need the metal shim to get a good cut.)  I used a "Cosmo Cricut 2" Gluber" and Black Box Pleat Ribbon from the RibbonCarousel.com store to make the flower.  Took me all of 2 minutes and it is smashing looking! I used 2 of Jessica's stamp sets, What's Up Buttercup? for the bumble bees and Poppies for the sentiment.

And here's a little message to you, Jessica:
Dearest friend and partner in crime,
here's wishing you a GREAT birthday and wonderful year!
Love Ya girl!

Thanks for stopping everyone! And if you're on the blog hop, mosey on over to our wonderful friend, Meredith's blog for more birthday fun!

RCC3 Clean It Up and Thank You!

Hey everyone!! Long weekend has passed, Riley is safely off to his next 1 month mission, Dylan is done with homework and I finally took a break from entering ribbon codes to make a card!  This week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge (RCC3) we'd like you to Clean It Up....as in Clean and Simple!

So here is my CAS card!  Dylan has a really great guidance councelor at school that I thought I'd make a card for....I know, I know, he's a little old for that, but she really has been a God-send for our family and for him as he began this new adventure.
I used a PTI impression plate for the background, the TSG Believe in You stamp set and that awesome ribbon is from May Arts and will soon be available in the RibbonCarousel.com store!!

Hope you're having a fantastic beginning of the week.  :D

RCC2 Thinking of You...

Hey everyone....Happy Tuesday!!  Yup, it's Tuesday and you know what that means....a new Ribbon Carousel Challenge.  This week, Angela is challenging us the go Shabby Chic!
Now, I must admit, I am still developing a style...I think.  I mean, I don't know if I have a defined style yet or not.  I sure am influenced by all the beautiful creations out there.  But Shabby Chic, not something I do that often.

I decided to try Shabby Chic with some pretty Webster's Pages paper and Cameo silhouette that I've been hoarding. I pulled out some purple tea-dyed seam binding and crochet ribbon to add.  I used my PTI doily die and stamped the sentiment from the TSG Sentimental stamp set. LOVE!!  OK, maybe I don't actually love this card, but it turned out pretty.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow with a challenge card for this week's TSG challenge. :D

RCC1 Hello Friend!

Hey everyone!!  Today I am sharing the card I made for the first Ribbon Carousel Challenge (RCC1) which is to "Be Inspired" by the Ribbon Carousel.

I just love all of the colors and the very sleak modern design of the Carousel, so I decided to use a bunch of very modern colors.  I always start with a sketch, so I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch and interpreted it VERY loosely!
I didn't have lots of time for coloring, so I opted to use a sentiment to "Welcome" everyone to our challenge.
I really hope you'll join us over at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
