FTR17-Sunny Smiles!

***My blog candy post can be found HERE!***

Hey there!  This gonna be a quick post, cuz the sun is shining!  Well, that's pretty rare here so I gotta get me some rays when I can.  Plus, Riley and I are sans young'uns....so we're gonna go for a motorcycle ride and have a GREAT day!
But first, I'm sharing the card I whipped up for the Follow The Recipe17 Challenge using the July Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit!
These kits are AMAZING!  I used 3 of the patterned papers (MME: Lime Twist Life is a Party) and 3 Bazill cardstocks to create the card. I stamped the Butterflies and Summer Wreath from the Summer Wreath stamp set on TE Choice Snow White CS and colored with Copics. With the Seasonal Wreath Die, it was so easy to make the wreath! LOVE dies that match a stamp! Tied up the bow and VOILA!

Here's the recipe for FTR17: (I used in my card)
  • Colors – red, white, green, blue, gray, kraft
  • Stamps and Stickers – strawberries, sentiment, aliens/monsters, scientists or science subjects
  • Patternscircles, checked/gingham, scallops
  • Color Mediumsmarkers (ProMarker, Copics, White Signo Pen)
  • Embellishments – clear gloss, glitter, charms, brads, ribbon
  • Tools corner rounder punch, border punch, die cut shapes
  • Techniques – faux stitching, doodling/drawing, make an easel card
  • Theme – birthday, just hello/because
Be sure to join us this week at Linda's Linky Party!

Our sponsor is Lil Inker!  You have until Thursday, August 4, 8:00 PM EST!

Have a great day!!

Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge

Hey there! It's the last day of this month's TSG blog hops, but we've saved a good one for ya!! If you arrived from Christine's gorgeous blog, you're on the right track.  If not, you can begin the hop over on the TSG blog.
Peacocks, and hippos and snakes, oh my! Judy Rozema was our lucky winner from this year’s Mother Of All Blog Hops and one of her prizes was the chance to work with TSG to design a stamp set in a theme of her choice.
She said that she would like a fun zoo stamp set that incorporated some animals that are different than you might find in other stamp sets and we knew just who the perfect illustrator would be for this! Melyssa’s adorably whimsical zoo animals will have you going wild!  Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that will sell for $24.
Oh this is the cutest dang stamp set evah!! I created a scene and paper pieced the tree and bushes.  The mane of the giraffe is Lemon Divine Twine from RibbonCarousel.com.  So adorable!!I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week too!

Would you like a chance to win the Zoo-pendous stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Zoo-pendous stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday July 30th during the Release Party Chat.

Float My Boat Blog Hop Challenge

Hey everyone! Did you come from Christine's amazing blog?  I hope so, but if not, feel free to head on over to the TSG blog to start the hop!!  Awhile back Torico had posted some of her sketches on her Facebook page and this adorable boy and his puppy got lots of attention!
So many of you said that it needed to be made into a stamp and we agreed. Not only is this mini set great by itself but it can also be combined with many of Torico’s other TSG stamp sets for even more versatility!
Float My Boat is a 3x4 set that includes a
total of 9 stamps and will sell for $7
I had such fun creating this card, but didn't have tons 'o luck with the hair.  Not sure what my problem was....i was waffling on the color and over colored.  Well, it is still an adorable image with the cutest sentiments!  I used the TSG117 challenge sketch this week!

Would you like a chance to win the Float My Boat stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Float My Boat Blog Hop Challenge post. July TE Key Ingredients and Blast from the Past Blog Hop!

Hey everyone!  I'm BACK! I'll get to my little absence later in the week, but lets get to the hop, shall we! Each month, the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients team will be sponsoring a hop using the great items included in that month's TE Key Ingredients Kit.

This month, we're hopping with the Blast from the Past Hop for lots of TE goodness!!  The BFTP theme this month is "Summertime".  I LOVE playing in my garden in the summer, harvesting all those earlier planted goodies.
I created this card using almost all of the gorgeous chipboard shapes included in the July kit.  I just LOVE all of them!  I painted them white or cream first, and then airbrushed them with Copics to match the gorgeous MME Lime Twist "Life of the Party" paper collection included in the kit.
The sentiment from Friendship Blooms was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I stitched the sides or center of each square, and added Rhinestones and some clear twinkles with Embellie Gellie and some Best Glue Ever!
A button from my stash was tied on using the MME twine from the kit too.  A little Crystal Stickles on the cloud, cuz I love me some sparkly, and we're finished!

This was such a fun card to make using all the fabulous products from the July Key Ingredients Kit.  Are you a subscriber? Wanna be? Click HERE for FAQ's and HERE to subscribe. (And don't worry, all links on this blog open in another window or tab so you won't miss out on the next blog on the hop!)

RCC11 No One Like You

Edited below!

Hey everyone! It's been a really, really busy week! Hope your's is going well! I decided to play along with the Carousel Crew this week.  Laurel Seabrook has a gorgeous picture to inspire us for RCC11
Here's my take on the photo:
I LOVED the inspiration picture and couldn't wait to make this card. I used the PTI YOTF: Roses stamp set and Copics to color.  I drew the border with a Copic Mulitliner.  I mounted to focal cardstock to Silver Cardstock to mimic the metal. I had a great time coloring it and sooooo.....decided to do another a bit more red and darker.

EDITED TO ADD: I forgot ribbon on my card! I own this company and challenge for goodness sakes....HOW could I forget the ribbon?!  Thank you Ashley! You're an Angel for catching this for me.....

We'd love for you to join us. Be sure to stop on over to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog and link up YOUR creation!  I'll be back tomorrow with a peek at my first creations for the Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Blog!! I'm so excited!!

I used Taylor's TE Sketch 141 and the Papercrafts Connection Color Inspiration Challenge for this week and the Friday Mashup13-Patriotic (coolest new challenge site).
This TE 4th of July Wreath Stamp Set along with CTMH Fanfare DP worked perfectly for this challenge card. Ain't it cute?  Pretty simple with a ton of white space.....you know, for me that is....lol!  I used lots of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles too. (he he I love me a little Onomatopoeia)
