RCC18 Halloween Kitty

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday which means.....a new Ribbon Carousel challenge!  And you know I love the sponsor this week....Jessica Knutsen and There She Goes Clear Stamps!  This week, for RCC18, Jessica is challenging us to use more than one spooled item.
And coincidentally,Jessica is heading the TSG122 challenge this week as well.  The TSG challenge is to make a One-Layer-Card (OLC) and POP up your image.  So I decided to combine the challenges and this is what I came up with.....

I did a 1/4" border around my card base, added a sneak peek ribbon from the new "Monthly Ribbon Kit" that will debut right on the RCC page and in the Ribbon Carousel store next week. (Announcement to be made next TUESDAY!) The baker's twine is the second spool item for the challenge.

I popped up the little halloween kitty from the Cattitude stamp set, paper-piecing with 3 different papers, and put it on top of a Midnight Felt Shape from CTMH.
The We R Memory Keepers brad was a bit dull, so I decorated it with some CTMH bling.  And voila, I'm getting ready for the holiday season to begin!  We'd love you to join us at both challenges...so go get crafty, and we'll see you back here later this week.

The Light is on...

Hey everyone! Hope you had a GREAT weekend! It's Monday, which means it's time for a new There She Goes challenge (TSG122).  AND this week, Lydia, SCS Community Manager is the Featured Stamper (FS238), so I decided to combine the challenges. This week our featured Trendsetter and "da boss", Jessica, is challenging us to create a one layer card with POP by using dimensional to pop up all or part of your image.

So I perused Lydia's gallery and found THIS CARD to CASE.  I changed the orientation of the card, the images, paper pieced the lamps and added some twine.
And here's the fabulous inside...
Ba dum dum! The stamp set is TSG Lighten Up and the paper is Basic Grey Out of Print.  I had so much fun making it, that I made a few more....

What's terrible is that you can't see the LIGHT SHINING in those pics, but believe me, you can in real life.  Here's a bit better shot:
Wanna make one too? Here's a little template that shows you how I made the "light shine":
Hope you have a great day and see you tomorrow for a new Ribbon Carousel Challenge.

Pumpkins on a Vine Blog Hop Challenge

Hey everyone! Welcome to the last day of There She Goes "sneak peek" Blog Hop Challenges. If you're hopping with us, you should have come from Christine's amazing blog.  If not, you can begin the hop over at the TSG blog!
It’s almost time for the seasons to change and Torico has illustrated some adorable little girls just in time for autumn! The images in this set were sized so that they can also be used with other stamp sets from Torico’s line for even more versatility.  Oh my goodness, is there ANYTHING Torico cannot do?! I am so in love with all of these stamps...CA-UTENESS!!

Pumpkins On A Vine is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 15 stamps and will sell for $15.

I used some new CTMH fall papers, die cut some labels, fall leaves and a medallion. I just love how fall is all about layers and wanted to evoke that feeling on my card.  I colored the girl with Copics and paper pieced her dress.
To get that same misty feeling as the DP, I used my Air Compressor and Copics in 3 different colors on the sentiment panels.  A few embellies and Vintage Seam Binding complete the card. This is one beefy card! No regular envelope for this one!

I used the bottom row elements from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges C4C101.

Would you like a chance to win the Pumpkins On A Vine stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Pumpkins On A Vine Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Pumpkins On A Vine stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday Aug. 27th during the Release Party Chat.

Now hop on over to Danielle's amazing blog for more goodness!

Beautiful Day is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 10 stamps and will sell for $15.

OK, so I'm just going to throw this out there.  I was a bit skeptical about the Fairy Tale set.  But NOW that I understand how these sets are BUILDING on each other, I am in LOVE!!
I popped out the shutters and they look so cool!  The flower box is popped up too.  The stone included can be used to build a stone wall, or a stone building (think castle).  I cut the corners off to "frame" the "stone cottage" that this little beauty is look out of.

Well, now that you know about the kit and the sale, here's what I've done with the Echo Park Country Drive paper, cardstock and ribbon from the kit!  A Christmas Card!!
I colored some images with Copics from the Hangin' Out at the North Pole stamp set for my focal tag. White Opal Liquid Pearls make the shiny snow, and Tiny Twinkles accent the birdie's hat and sentiment The ribbon and large rhinestones are from the kit. I used the Bow Easy to make the 4 loop bow for the tag. The button and twine are from my stash.  And Voila!
It still has some pretty nice sparkle for being such a simple card! The Copics I colored with are R27, R24, R22, C3, C1,C0, C00, YG0000, YG00, YG01.

RCC16 Hostess with the Mostess!

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday and you know what that means....a new Ribbon Carousel Challenge! Danielle has created another one of her "Go To" Sketches for us to use for RCC16.
This week we are being sponsored by Amber Ink and they were kind enough to give the Crew some awesome images!
I love the Hostess with the Mostess digi set and just had to use her for my card.  What I love about these sets is the variety is amazing and the prices can't be beat!
I used Danielle's sketch a little loosely.  The font I chose for the sentiment, Diner Swanky from Fontspace.com, is so perfect for the 1950's feel of the Modern Homemaker October Afternoon paper.  I used the yellow solid color plaid ribbon from RibbonCarousel.com.
And since it's Danielle's challenge, I thought I'd add some liquid glass! I made her shoes patent leather.
Her bowl is nice and shiny too.  I also tipped the bowl out with a 3D DOT and it really does look like it's falling! BWHAHAHAHAHA.
I finished her off with some glittery red lips courtesy of my Spica pen! And VOILA! A perfect "Hostess with the Mostess" thank you card.

Well, that's all for today.  PLEASE stop on over to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog this week and join the challenge for your chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate to the Amber Ink store!

Make a Wish with the TE August Key Ingredients Kit!

Hey there! I'm up on the Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Blog today! This month's kit includes patterned paper from the Echo Park Country Drive collection along with coordinating stickers, cardstock, ribbon and rhinestones! If you haven't seen the kit yet, please click HERE to see it in its entirety and also some additional coordinating products!

I just returned from my "Family-moon" (which is a honeymoon with our kids). I'm so excited to be Mrs. Barth!  Our blended family gets along fabulously and just makes my heart happy!  I used this month's Key Ingredients kit to make my new step-daughter a birthday card.

The kit is so adorable and bright! I started with this week's TESC144 sketch.
I stamped the Make a Wish sentiment from the Make A Wish stamp set on the Wonky Rectagles die-cut.  I die cut the balloons from the cute Country Drive papers using the Make A Wish Balloon Dies and stuck them behind the focal image.
I stamped the banner and fussy cut it out, adding stickers and rhinestones from the KI kit.  I finished the card off with the polka dot ribbon from the kit.  I love how cute this card turned out!
