World's Best/ World's Best Die Blog Hop Challenge!

Welcome back to the final day of TSG's sneak peeks!  This versatile and fun stamp set, World's Best, with coordinating dies available, is the first in a series!
With amazingly detailed flowers, ribbons and sentiments, you’ll be celebrating ALL of the important people in your life! The line art and solid images allow for stamping only or coloring, while the tails and ribbons can easily become stems. The circle image coordinates with a 1” circle punch. With so many design possiblilities, this is a must have stamp set for your collection. Co illustrated by Melyssa Connolly and Jessica Knutsen.

World’s Best is a 6x8 sized stamp set that includes 58 images and will sell for $24.

To make your dies more versatile and useable, we have designed this 5 piece die collection a must-have addition. The Prize Ribbon/Flower dies fit all of the coordinating stamp images from World’s best. You can make flowers with with stems and leaves or celebrate your child’s first spelling test with a prize ribbon cut from the same dies. Layer the ribbon with a 1.25” punched circle for more layering possibilities. The 5 dies come as one unit making storage a breeze.

World’s Best Die is a set of 5 dies with the largest die measuring at 1.75 in. in diameter and will sell for $14.50.

Now we get to the good stuff!  I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch126 and the Little Boy Collection by Echo Park to make this card for Dylan. (He did great on his Oral Book Reports in Language Arts!)  I LOVE this Stamp Set and Dies.  There are so many different ways to use the stamp set that it's almost impossible to choose just one.

Here's a TIP: The A-Z and 123 stamp set coordinates perfectly with the banner stamps.  The 3/4" circle and letters fit perfectly with the World's Best banner stamps.  Yes, Jessica is tricky like that! And all you need is a 3/4" punch and some Blueberry Divine Twine from Ribboncarousel.com to make a banner like mine. :D

I stamped the focal image ribbon on DP and die cut it out.  I punched a 1" circle and stamped the focal sentiment.  For depth, I added a little shading with my Copics (B97,93) and VOILA...an adorable card to celebrate Dylan's great start to the school year!

Oh my goodness, WE"VE GOT DIES!!! I am so over the moon about this that my card is actually done 5 hours early!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!  OK, seriously, lets get to the deets of the card.  I always start with a sketch, so I used Tuesday Morning Sketches 112.  The DP is My Minds Eye Mischievous.  I used the the fabulous new TSG Spider Web die and hung the spider using Orange Bakers Twine from RibbonCarousel.com.  Two brads anchoring the Spider Web die-cut are MME Mischievous Decorative Brads. I used Black Versafine for the stamping so I would get nice crisp images.

I love, love, love these kits!  I open my clear box and see everything I could possibly need to create tons of papercraft projects!  No hunting for the perfect color cardstock.  No searching for the matching ribbon.  It's all sent to you right from TE in a cute clear box!  For more information on subscribing, click HERE.  And THIS is a great FAQ page.

Now on to the card...

This month's kit includes the fun October Afternoon Campfire patterned paper as well as the coordinating cardstock. I thought it would be the perfect paper to use with the fabulous Life is A Circus stamp set!  I used the Star Border Die and Seeing Stars (set of 3 dies).  I ran all of the background papers through the embossing machine with the Stars Impression Plate.  Add a few buttons and some Liquid Pearls that came with the kit, and you've got a great card!

I always start a card with a sketch, so I used TE DT member Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch 135.

RCC20 Oh Crop!

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday, which means it's time for another Ribbon Carousel Challenge!
The Ribbon Carousel Challenge (RCC20)is brought to us by the adorable Savannah O’Gwynn.  Sav wants us to get punny.  So make a funny, quirky, cute, sassy or punny card to join us this week.
Lawn Fawn  is our sponsor this week with some of the cutest, punny-est stamp sets!
Your creation can be anything from cards, journals, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings, anything will work!  *** Just be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***

I've used a little of each "ingredient" from the TE September Key Ingredients Kit my Dad's "belated" birthday card.  First I always start with a sketch, and this week's TESC146 was a great place to begin.

So I grabbed the papers and the Green Acres stamp set and went to work paper piecing a bunch of images.  So you don't even need to color them if you don't want to!
I cut the images out and layered them over the background that I created using the Cloud Border die and my Copic Air Compressor using the BG11 Copic Marker (which are on sale now!).
I love how using the Liquid Pearls (a la Danielle Lounds) can really bump the quality of a card up. I outlined the card with the Buttercup Liquid Pearls, added some buttons and ribbon to finish it off. And here's the finished card....
And here's the inside with a TIP:
If you're not already a TE KI subscriber, you really should be!  Here is a great link for FAQs and a fabulous page HERE to learn more about the subscriptions.  Now go get PUNNY and enter this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge!!

TE KI Happy Birthday!

Hey everyone! I needed a pretty and bright birthday card for my Aunt Sheila and thought the gorgeous papers from the Taylored Expressions August Key Ingredients Kit would be perfect!  I paired up the paper with one of my favorite Taylored Expressions summer stamp sets, In the Park.
One of my favorite things to do with ribbon is layering.  If I'm sneaking it behind a label or focal image, like on this card, I'll just trim the ribbon to 3.5" pieces and tape them together.  This way, I use less ribbon and have a nice, secure layer for the card.
To finish it off, just add bling to the wheels, flower and side of focal image panel! What I love about the Key Ingredients Kit is everything is included! EVERYTHING!! Just another way that Taylor makes creating that much easier for us!

If you're not yet a subscriber, I hope you'll consider joining us! Take a peek around the Key Ingredients blog and you'll find all the information you need to know about the kit club! Click here to learn more about subscribing or click here for the FAQ page!

It's been a bit quiet over on the TE blog, so we're all wondering....is the baby coming yet? Can't wait to see Taylor's pics of their new addition! :D

I'm diggin' the yellow gloves!  I finished her up with Y21,23,26 for the hair, E50,01,13 for her skin and W7,5 for her shoes. A little R21 for lips and BG11 for her eyeshadow and she's one hot lookin' Domestic Goddess!

Tuesday's challenge is to take your Paper Doll "Out on the Town",so we headed on out to our favorite shopping place....Target. This domestic goddess was all about the cleaning product aisle (LOVE me some PINE-SOL)!
