PTI 11th Anniversary: Day 5 Retirement Challenge

Hey there! Hope you're enjoying the PTI Anniversary week as much as I am!  It's thrilling to see all of the new additions that will be added this coming year in terms of inspiration and new products! Now, on to the Day 5: Retirement Challenge.

The challenge is pretty straight forward.  Use florals on your project.  Today I chose the Year of Flowers: Roses as my focal point.  I am so sad it is on the retirement list, but it will always be one of my go-to flowers.  I love the entire Year of Flowers collection and just used it last year with my Senior Citizen Tuesday Art Class to make Birthday Calendar Books (the Birthday Calendar Pages and Kraft Binder are still available in the PTI store too!)
I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks on Yupo Paper. I spritzed the papers with alcohol ink in a misting bottle and let it dry, then stamped the YOF: Rose, Buds and Leaves using StazOn Black ink.
To mimic the circles made by the alcohol spritz, I die cut lines around the Fresh Snow Linen Cardstock base with the longest Stitching Lines Die
I stamped the sentiment included in the set using VersaFine Black. Then added the die cut Rose images and Rainstones to complete the panel.  I then layered a panel of fun foam to raise the panel onto a Raspberry Fizz Card Base.
That's about it!  I hope you're enjoying hopping along and I can't wait to see what everyone else is making out there.  I'll probably be commenting all day with all of the fabulous entries!

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think in the comments below. Enjoy your day and Happy Crafting!
