So today's challenge is to use Dies Only. No Stamping. That is a FUN challenge and one that isn't too foreign to me. While teaching my Senior Tuesday Card Class, I often use only dies, becuase the ladies really just paste and chat. Once in a while I throw in a technique or art principle, but they just want to have fun, so I make sure that each class is low stress, lots of fun!
I needed some quick Valentine Cards for tomorrow's class, so I broke out the die cut machine and made these fun cards to give to the ladies.
I used the Cover Plate: Hearts Die and lots of different colored PTI Cardstock to make these pretty cards. I die cut the sentiments from the Swoosh Dies and used Rainstones and Sequins to add some bling and interest.
I did also try something new. I love the layering dies that are out there, but I just don't have $75 to spend on them. Soooo, I thought, maybe I can just shift different layers of the Cover Plate around to make a similar look.
And voila! It actually worked. No there isn't as much detail and difference as the other layering dies. BUT, it does add visual interest using what I already have. And isn't that what we are all trying to do once in a while?!
Thanks so much for stopping by and let me know what you think in the comments below. I hope you have a great day and Happy Crafting!

What wonderful results from a crafting session. Love those offset negatives.
