Hey there! Thanks for visiting! It seems as though I am falling in love with all of the beautiful Papertrey Ink stamp sets I've been playing with lately.

PTI Make It Monday Challenge #278

**********UPDATE**********
I was highlighted in this MIM challenge! Woot Woot! You can read the PTI newsletter to see more!
****************************

Today was a wonderful day of creativity! My back surgery is healing nicely and it is making me happier than a bird with a french fry! This week's MIM challenge is to make a Window Chipboard Sentiment.

2014 PTI PPF Challenge

Hey There! Welcome to today's post where I'm playing along again with PTI's 10th-year Celebration using a beautiful PTI stamp set Feather Finery that debuted in 2014.
Time to dust it off for an updated look for the challenge, right!

TSG99 Dadisms

Well Hey Y'all!!  It was a slow blogging week for me last week with my wonderful son Ian visiting.  He told me I wasn't allowed in the craft room, so as a good Mama, I obliged.  Well, some of our conversations last week reminded me of some my Dad had with me.  So I thought I'd make him a card :D

Today is Monday which means it's challenge day over at There She Goes!  The challenge is to make a OLC (One Layer Card) stamping on the background cardstock monochromatically.  Then, fussy cut a stamped image and attach.  I loved this challenge! I was done with this card pretty quickly....which of course is relative....but quick for me. :D  Here's my creation:
I used the TSG Dadisms stamp set.  There is a fabulous background stamp set with all kinds of "Dadisms" that were used frequently in my home as I was growing up.  And the inside:

I used the the colors from this weeks Crazy4Challenges79. It's so hard to see but I made the Dad's socks and cuffs pink. Hopefully, that will count!
And here are the Copics that I used:
This week is sneak peek week at TSG!! Be sure to stop by EVERY day this week for a sneak peek at the new release that will happen on Saturday!! :D  Have a great day everyone and see you tomorrow.

MFTWSC9 Get Well Soon!!

Hey everyone!  Hope y'all are feeling well....if not, I've got a card for ya!  I'm full of all of these creative juices and just can't stop creating!
I've got a few people that I needed "Get Well" cards for so I thought I'd try my hand at the MFT sketch with some lovely Pure Innocence stamps.
I started with this fab paper from Moxxie.  I used the MFT Rosette Die-namic to create the background for the little PI Doctor. I stamped the sentiment from the Best Medicine stamp set on canvas.  It looks just like bandage fabric; So cool!!
I used a couple of dies from PTI to finish the rosette, a little clip from SU on the clipboard, Glossy Accents and a piece of bling on the stethoscope and the clear Spica pen on his little buttons.  I finished off the card with brads and some PTI twine holding a little star cut with the MFT Stars Die-namic.
Here's his side-kick...the cutie PI Nurse from Best Medicine.  I used the same paper, Die-namic and canvas sentiment strip for the base of the card.  I switched up the PTI die behind her to soften the look.

I paper pieced her darling outfit with a candy-striper paper, silk ribbon for her apron ties. Her clipboard is blinged up with  a SU clip with red rhinestone.  Black Spica pen, Glossy Accent, and red rhinestone on her shoes.  I colored her hat and bag with Spica pens.

This card also qualifies for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge (Embossing/Paper-piecing),  and 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge (#27 Stitching), and the Get Well Challenge over at The Paper Variety.  Such fun cards! I really hope their recipient's like them. :D

Have a great day and I'll be back with you tomorrow with a new Catered Crop challenge!

Peggy Marsh, one of our Top Chef design team members, has a great tutorial for using Prisma pencils that will truly change your life – paper craft speaking that is.

I decided to whip up a kitchen scene.  The fabulous "domestic goddess" is mixing up some cupcake batter, while sipping a cool adult beverage, complete with olive.  (If you missed our Top Chef Linda's "Olive You" post, hop on over there for some awesome eye candy....but not till you're done with my post of course. :D)

Here's a close up of the appliances.  I used Silver cardstock and rhinestones.  I really need a stove with some serious bling. :D
I used Liquid Pearls (a la Danielle Lounds) to highlight the sentiment.....wouldn't want anyone to miss it. :D
Here is a close up of the "floor".  I angled the patterned paper so that it would look more like tile.  A little tricky lining up the front layer to the bottom layer. It really worked!! So proud of myself on this one.

And here's my card using the brand new, releasing TODAY Sophia papers from CTMH and TSG's Wrapped In Joy
And here's the same card with an African American girl.

Flashback Friday (ummm Tuesday?)

Hey everyone! Today I'm trying to get caught up; Things have been a WHIRLWIND around here these past few days.....any-whooooo....... today's card is a "FLASHBACK" of the VERY FIRST card I ever posted using glitter, which happens to also be the very first card I every blogged  back in 2008 for the Flashback Friday 7.0 Challenge.
I made a birthday card for one of my besties, Katie!  I really enjoyed looking through my blog, and evidently I've been a blingy and glittery lover from the start. :D

Come on Baby Light My Fire!

Isn't that just the sassiest?! I've been busy crafting, designing and learning all about html (totally boring...I don't recommend it.)  Here is a card I made for Riley's care package going out at the end of the week.  I'm going to try to send him a package every couple of weeks so he doesn't miss home too much.

I used Viva La Verve's January Week 2 Challenge Sketch and TSG's Chemistry stamp set; one of the BESTEST Valentine/Love stamp sets evah!
The image and sentiment is fussy cut (mistake recovery) and popped up to add some depth. You can see it really good here.
Now check that fancy change in stitching in the upper left corner.....ok, so it's not so fancy for some, but for me....it was something new. :-D

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

TSG84 Bring on the Bling

Edited to add: I was honored by The Shabby Tea Room to be in their top 3 with this card! LOVE that challenge!!
Hey everyone! Just a quick post for Jodi's Bring on the Bling Challenge over on the There She Goes blog.
OK, so I'm a little late to the Monday challenge, but I'm fashionably late, right?!
I used two great building sets from There She Goes.  Home Sweet Home and Home Sweet Home Additions.  I used the Spica Clear Glitter Pen to add some shine to the fire, milk and cookies.  The Christmas tree is a die from PTI that I embossed with the PTI Holly Impression Plate (can't see it in the pic).  I then cut it in half using the right part on the front and the left side on the inside. This qualifies this card for the Little Red Wagon Challenge#58. :-D .

I'm lovin' the vintage feel even though I don't have ANY buttons or ribbon. I was very inspired by the photo inspiration at Simple Doodles #32 and Debbie's project at The Shabby Tea Room #39 this week. It's gorgeous! Anywho, here's the inside.

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.  Here's a little card I made today in between chores and taking the kids back to Snoqualmie Pass.

There She Goes is the sponsor of this weeks Shabby Tea Room Challenge #34 so I thought I'd participate.  (I didn't use TSG stamps though....shhhhh) As soon as I saw this week's Inspiration Photo, I wanted to use the new Papertrey Ink Frendship Jar Holiday Fillers.  I used Jen's SFYTT sketch for this week too.

And here's my card:
Well, gotta go get Riley packed up.  He leaves for a 4 day trip EARLY tomorrow morning.  Have a great day and I'll be back with more to share tomorrow. :-D
