RCC18 Halloween Kitty

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday which means.....a new Ribbon Carousel challenge!  And you know I love the sponsor this week....Jessica Knutsen and There She Goes Clear Stamps!  This week, for RCC18, Jessica is challenging us to use more than one spooled item.
And coincidentally,Jessica is heading the TSG122 challenge this week as well.  The TSG challenge is to make a One-Layer-Card (OLC) and POP up your image.  So I decided to combine the challenges and this is what I came up with.....

I did a 1/4" border around my card base, added a sneak peek ribbon from the new "Monthly Ribbon Kit" that will debut right on the RCC page and in the Ribbon Carousel store next week. (Announcement to be made next TUESDAY!) The baker's twine is the second spool item for the challenge.

I popped up the little halloween kitty from the Cattitude stamp set, paper-piecing with 3 different papers, and put it on top of a Midnight Felt Shape from CTMH.
The We R Memory Keepers brad was a bit dull, so I decorated it with some CTMH bling.  And voila, I'm getting ready for the holiday season to begin!  We'd love you to join us at both challenges...so go get crafty, and we'll see you back here later this week.

OK, so I'm just going to throw this out there.  I was a bit skeptical about the Fairy Tale set.  But NOW that I understand how these sets are BUILDING on each other, I am in LOVE!!
I popped out the shutters and they look so cool!  The flower box is popped up too.  The stone included can be used to build a stone wall, or a stone building (think castle).  I cut the corners off to "frame" the "stone cottage" that this little beauty is look out of.

Make Your Own Ribbon Flowers!

Hey everyone! Today I'm up on the TSG Blog, and I'm showing a fun, quick and easy way to make your own ribbon flowers!
1. First assemble your products.  The only item that you might not have in your stash would be Glubers by Cosmo Cricut.
2. Glubers come in different sizes; I am using the 2" size for this project.  They come 4 to a sheet with a protective sheet covering them.  Cut one of the Glubers off, leaving the top and bottom protective sheets.
3. Peel the THICKER, STIFFER protective sheet away from the Gluber and place it down on your work surface.
4. Start in the center and start rotating the GLUBER while lightly winding the ribbon around.  Be sure not to leave any space.
5. When the flower is fully wound, cut off the ribbon about 1/2" from the edge of the GLUBER and fold it underneath the GLUBER.
6. The underside of the Gluber allows you to see if your flower is nicely wound and even.

7. Attach to your card!  I got a bit carried away with the Copic Air Compressor and R46...yikes!  The sentiment is from the gorgeous TSG Angel Mail stamp set and the little accents are from the TSG Flourish stamp set.
I'm entering this card in a TON of challenges for the Dare To Get Dirty Week over on SplitcoastStampers. One of the challenges is being hosted by our own Iwona Palamountain....so I was channeling her style....can ya tell? Come on, join in the fun!!

*I've assembled the pictures together so this post is easier to read.  If you would like to see the photos broken out, please just leave a comment and I will get it to you.
4.25 x 5.5" Sing Anyway card:
Stamps: TSG Angel Mail and Flourish Stamp Sets

Paper: Crate Paper Portrait; PTI CS
Accessories: May Arts Red Sheer Box Pleat Ribbon, CTMH Bling Asst., Pewter Mini-Medley Accents

***Are you looking for my Blog Candy Post? Click HERE!!***

Hey everyone! Oh I am in crafting heaven with the house to myself for the first time in MONTHS!! It's Tuesday and ya know what that means.....a new Ribbon Carousel Challenge
Our fabulous sponsor, EAD Designs, sent product to each of the Crew members and let me tell you, the stickers are AMAZING!  I must admit, I've never used stickers before and was a little nervous. You know, want to do a great job for our first sponsor, yada yada yada.  Well, it is so EASY!!  Actually, it's so easy....I made 2 cards in the same time that it usually takes me to make 1!

Here's the first card:

I used Believe in Make Believe as the focal image and sentiment on this card.  As soon as I saw these, I immediately thought of the color red.  So I used some DP from the Odds and Ends Mini Deck. I'm also entering this in three of my stamping idols', Lisa, Julie and Jodi, Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on SplitcoastStampers.
I'll show y'all the other card later in the week! Oh and one last thing, the twine is being added to the RibbonCarousel.com store with a BUNCH more ribbon tomorrow.  Be sure to stop by to see! Till then.....go get crafty!

4.24 x 5.5" Help from my Friends card:
Stickers: EAD Designs
Paper: Cosmo Cricut Odds and End Mini Deck; Bazill CS; PTI CS
Accessories: May Arts Red Loop Edge Ribbon, May Arts Crochet Ribbon, May Arts Twine; Prima Flowers

Make a Splash Blog Hop Challenge

It's the last day of the blog hop....and we've saved a GREAT stamp set for last!  If you've hopped on over from Christine's you're on the right track.  If not, head on over to TSG so you don't miss anything. One of the best things about the summer is being able to go for a refreshing swim. Whether you prefer a lake, ocean or pool- you will love this new stamp set illustrated by Torico! Make A Splash will have you saying “Mermaids, seahorse and fish... oh my!”.
Make A Splash is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 21stamps and will sell for $18.
I love this stamp set and you will too!  I used Spica's to glitter her up and Copics to color the rest of the image.  I airbrushed the sky, sun and clouds with a bit of Stickles Stardust to top 'em off.  DP is from Echo Park Splash.

Would you like a chance to win the Make A Splash stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Make A Splash Blog Hop Challenge post. RCC8 You Dig Me?

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great Father's Day Weekend! This week's challenge over at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge RCC8 is brought to us by Ashley N Newell to use your favorite coloring medium.

WELL....You GOTTA know that I have my Copics right here just ichin' to be used.  So, pull out those coloring tools…..Pencils, Watercolors, Inks, Copics, Tombows….whatever your FAVORITE choice of coloring medium is. With the beautiful colors of summer abound, Ashley wants you to color up your world….and ours. Any line art image is acceptable, just be sure to color it in!

I used LOTS of my favorite things.  First, I used Copics on the ol' man image from the awesome TSG stamp set called "My Little Friend".  The DP is from My Minds Eye called Lime Twist - Fly a Kite. I tied on some Orange Twine from RibbonCarousel.com and topped it off with a button from CTMH. The sentiment is framed with SU brads.  Love this one!!

Hope y'all join us this week at the RCC. And see ya back here tomorrow for TSG's sneak peeks!

RCC6 Are we there yet?

Hey everyone! Today begins RCC6 with a sketch by Danielle Lounds. Don’t you just love a good sketch challenge?! It’s a great place to start your creation.
Riley left last night on a "Red Eye", arriving in New York at 9:30 this morning.   My son, Ian, picked him up at the airport and they are now driving the 3,100 miles cross country to our home. YIKES!!!  Why didn't I go, you're asking? Because Riley thought having 2 people without any common sense driving cross country might be a little too dangerous.....LOL! And how is this little story relevant you ask???? Well, I used this fab sketch to make a card for Riley and Ian.
Now I know that Ian will be asking Riley this at least 100 times over the next few days, so I thought a little humor might be in order.  I'm going to send it to them in a picture text on Thursday. hee hee hee
Have a great day!

We're starting a challenge blog for the RibbonCarousel.com company!!

(next Thursday, but shhhhh....)  OY VAY it's been busy around here.

I have another secret, but I can't tell yet.  BUT, I can tell you that I am working on some artwork and will have a post TO-MO-RROW, FO SHORE!  I haven't been in the Studio in over a week and I think I am forgetting how to craft!! YIKES!!
