Cherish the Moment (Sneak Peek)....shhhhh.......

Hey there! Here's a little sneak peek at the May Stamp of the Month.  It is super versatile. I used a pattern out of Wishes called Fancy Four on p. 76.  I LOVE my pattern books.  Makes card making and scrapbooking sooooo EASY!

I PROMISE this is the last post before May using the new Splendor paper, but I just LOVE it so much.  It's fab! Remember the Blog Candy drawing is TONIGHT at 5:30pm PST so go sign up as a follower and leave a comment on the post to be eligible.  Copics, stamps, PTI paper, bling, paper....what more could a girl want?!

OK so I know my photography is a little off, but I'm making a light box this week so pics will turn out better.  I'll be posting the tutorial so you can make one too! :-)  Let me know what you think of the swap card....would you want to get this in a swap?

Card Recipe: (all materials CTMH unless otherwise noted)
Paper: X7124B Splendor, Cardstock in Moonstruck, Goldrush
Stamps: D1421 Cherish the Moment (May Stamp of the Month)
Ink: Goldrush, Moonstruck, Topiary
Accessories: White bitty brads, Spendor Designer Brads

That's it till the drawing at 5:30pm.  Ciao for now!!

Over the Rainbow

Hey Y'all!  I've got a great tip and cute card for you today.  First, let me say that I am seriously photography-challenged this morning.  I've been up since 2:30am and just can't get the camera to focus....but it could be my eyes.....who knows. :-P

One of the great advantages of acrylic stamps is there ability to bend.  In making the following card, I needed to bend the sentiment around the rainbow.

I popped up the rainbow and clouds, then added some brad to ground and balance the card.  That's it....easy peasy!

The finished card: (I did switch out the brads in the upper left to see which I liked....let me know which ones YOU liked!)

Card Recipe: (All products CTMH unless noted otherwise)
Paper: Spendor x7124, Cardstock in White, Crystal Blue and Goldrush
Stamps: Over the Rainbow (D1426)
Ink: Goldrush, Topiary, Moonstruck, Honey
Accessories: White Brads (reg and mini), Spendor Designer Brads (z1317)
Tools: Janome Sew Mini using Coats and Clark Dual Duty Heavy white thread

I am entering this card in a few of challenges.....

Don't forget about the Blog Candy which includes 2 copic markers! All you have to do is become a follower and leave me a message on the Blog Candy Post. Have a great weekend!

It's all about the blog candy!

OK, so this is not an art post, but as I was trimming paper for my newest creations and sipping (alright, alright gulping) my Caramel Vanilla Skinny Latte, I realized I'd forgotten to post this month's blog candy!!  So here it is.....

I've included all of my favorite things! A sampling of CTMH new patterned papers from the Spring 2010 Idea Book, CTMH April's Stamp of the Month, CTMH WHITE chipboard (makes it so easy to stamp, emboss, color, paint), CTMH BLING, Papertrey Ink White Scored Cards and Envelopes and 2 Copic Sketch markers!!

All you have to do to enter is become a follower of my lil' o' blog and leave me a comment on this post describing what makes a blog one that you enjoy visiting. :-D  I'll use to choose a winner on April 21st!

Hot Diggity for Mojo Monday!

Good mornin' y'all.  I'm sipping a Mocha Fudge Latte this morning with a splash of SF Caramel syrup that Riley bought me at the local coffee house.  YUMMY!!  All of my NEW Close to My Heart product has arrived and I must say, this is the BEST summer catalog I've see from CTMH!  So here is a sneak peek of my FA-vor-ITE paper pack called Splendor and the matching designer brads in fabric and metal.....oh, oh, so excited!

I'm using the pattern from this week's Mojo Monday Challenge  and make your own flower from the Cupcake Craft Challenge and of course my all-time FAVORITE challenge blog, Pile It On "no images".

One of the corresponding Stamp Sets is called Hot Diggity and boy do I LIKE that saying.  Here I used the CTMH Cocktail Alphabet (E1015) for the word HOT and the "diggity" from the new Hot Diggity set.  I'll have a sneak of the images in this set later this week.

I made the flower using 7 circles.  The technique is high-lighted in the new catalog.  The fabric brad in the center is just fab and the metal brads in the corresponding set are below.

Card Recipe: All items Close to My Heart (CTMH) unless otherwise noted

Paper: Splendor (X7124B), White, Crystal Blue, Topiary cardstock
Stamps:  E1015 Cocktail Alphabet, C1407 Hot Diggity
Accessories: Splendor Designer Brads (z1317)
Tools: CTMH Circle Punch, Fiskars Border Punch

I'm happy to be back!  I'm so happy in fact that I'm going to give away my first Blog Candy so look for a post later today!  And remember, every blogger loves comments so leave me some love peeps!!

Copic Certified Designer....who me??

Yes, I am.  See my new blinkie? ------------------>

I had a great time in Portland, OR getting certified with Marianne at the helm.  If you are interested in Copics or Copic Classes, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I will be teaching an online Copic class in June so be sure to watch for updates....

Here is a pic of our table....and did we have fun, especially with the airbrush techniques.  Sparkle Smith is in the front in the green sweater (she let me post this pic ;-)), such a cutie and awesome with the Copics.  Yesterday she posted a great card with a Kraftin' Kimmie image that she colored in class.  She was the inspiration for my Copic marker storage....i'll post that pic when my bins, air compressor and 322 markers get here! WOO HOO!
