Papertrey Ink MIM Framing Sentiments: Art Soul Life

Hey there! Today's post is all about framing your sentiments and images for the 313th Make It Monday challenge over on the PTI Blog this week (Have you ever stopped to think of how many challenges that is?! Wowzer!!).  Framing and Matting do similar things for your images and sentiments, but framing gives you so many more options to really make those focal points shine.

I made a background with varying thicknesses of PTI black and white cardstock and mounted them on a cardfront.  I then stamped my focal sentiment with ROY G BIV colors using ink pads direct to the stamp and sponge daubers to soften the lines. I used a Wink of Stella Clear Brush to add a touch of shimmer to the large words in the sentiment.  Hard to photograph, but it looks so pretty IRL.
I die cut the sentiment out with the Mix & Mat: Herringbone die.  To "frame" the sentiment, I used black glitter paper and the Mix & Mat: Postal Die.  I cut off the side slightly to allow the framed sentiment to sit slightly off the side for more visual interest.

I popped the sentiment up on white craft foam, adhered the framed sentiment and used a ton of enamel dots from my stash.  (I LOVE enamel dots....for reals as my 4 year old nephew would say! LOL)

And there you have it!  This week's Make It Monday Challenge card.  I hope you all enjoyed the post.  Thanks so much for visiting and please let me know what you think i the comments.  Have a wonderful day and Happy Crafting!
